This is a beautiful genuine piece of Moldavite from Chlum in the Czech Republic. It weighs approximately 2.2 grams.
Formed around 15 million years ago when a Meteorite impacted the Earth in what is now known as the Czech Republic.
The Meteor was about 1km in diameter and the impact generated such heat and pressure that it melted local rocks which were mainly Sandstones and other Silica rich materials. The molten material was ejected in to the atmosphere where it cooled and fell back to Earth forming natural glass, this is Moldavite.
Moldavite is a tektite and is unique because of its green colour and translucent glassy texture and is a metaphysical powerhouse.
